Anything you desire or dream-up, simple or complex, Smart Carat can make. Our Custom Design team can take the piece of jewelry you saw in a magazine or online and recreate or customize it for you. If you see a pair of earrings with Rubies, but you want Sapphires, not a problem. Do you like an engagement ring design, but want a different height of the stone, surrounding stones or type of center stone? Our Custom Design Department can alter anything to your liking.
When building an Engagement Ring the first step of the Custom Design process is to select your Center Stone. Once we have your ideal Center Stone we can create a ring design to match its specifications and measurements. Our designers will then use your input to create your ring digitally using a computer program. From the computer image, the designer will make a mold of the ring in wax and test to make sure it is structurally sound. Once the wax model is approved, they will inject the mold of the ring with the metal of your choosing. From there, the designer will begin setting your center stone and the side stones to create your perfect, custom engagement ring.
